My Journey as a Novelist
When I was a child, I was a voracious reader. I was enchanted by all the places I could go in my mind; the Shire, Oz, Rome. I marveled at the emotions I felt reading. I cried when Old Yeller died. I celebrated when Spiderman defeated his latest foe. I realized then, words had power. The written word more so. Words written in a careless moment carry weight. Ideas for stories coming from notes scribbled on a napkin to projects crafted over years have potential. Each story has the potential to change lives, bring hope, laughter, tears.
When I set pencil to paper (yes, I write first) I write to challenge myself. I want to be fully immersed in the stories I write. My written words help me process my thoughts so that I can write something that fulfills my desire. When I write I discover I enjoy the creativity and effort made to imagine and craft stories others might read.
As with any creative efforts, I seek to put my best into research, imaginative writing, and writing about a subject interesting to me first, the reader second. I hope to share the heady feeling of creating a story unique but worth a reader’s time.
I believe if something I write changes one person’s life, perspective, and encourages them to expand their horizons, I have been successful with the gifts God has given me to be a writer.

The Power of a Single Moment
uses popular Christian songs, stories, and questions to help men recognize the importance of certain moments in their lives. How a man chooses to spend those moments as a husband , or father, will strengthen or weaken those relationships. The songs will serve as reminders long after the study is done.
